Who Is Tab Trade - Launched March 2026, Here Is the Deal
Tab Trade - The Short Version
Tab Trade went live in Q1 2026. Trading platform incorporated in Saint Lucia, regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, the New Zealand-regulated broker.
His background tells you something. It says the person running this knows how a proper broker operates. That is not a guarantee. Still more reassuring than a random name you cannot trace.
The broker opened with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same facilities prime brokers run on. Usually a new brokerage starts with a white-label MT4 setup. These guys led with infrastructure. Not the typical playbook.
Market coverage: forex, indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, crypto, ETFs. A wide spread. For a platform that is a few months old, that coverage is broad.
The Software
They offer: MT5, cTrader, and web trading. Both platforms from the same login. Many pick one platform. Getting both is useful. Use whichever you prefer.
MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Full charting, Expert Advisors, tons of scripts and indicators. If you know a MetaQuotes platform before, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader by Spotware is the cleaner option. Cleaner order book. Faster charting. cBot support. Plenty of traders find it more natural once they try it.
Direct FIX connectivity is offered for bots but needs the VIP tier ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is said to be coming. That should round things out once it is live.
Accounts and Pricing
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. 1.0 pip spreads. Zero commission. Straightforward. Zero deposit requirement. Works for people who want simple pricing.
Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On majors, the raw spread is often below 0.2 pips. So your all-in cost sometimes sits below 0.5 pips. That is hard to beat for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most brokers that have spreads this tight ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. This broker requires zero deposit.
VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX connectivity, execution under 20ms, negotiated fees. Not relevant to typical accounts. Ignore this one unless you move real size.
Infrastructure
The execution is the area where Tab Trade separates from most new launches. Equinix data centres. Under 30ms on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are institutional numbers. Most retail brokers operate at a much wider range.
Should you care? If you trade small timeframes, yes. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is profit or loss on tight trades. If you hold positions longer, it matters less. But the fact that the infrastructure is there. That signals something about priorities.
Pair that execution speed with the Edge account pricing and the overall offering makes sense. Few brokers in this bracket have infrastructure at this level.
Regulation
Now, the part that matters. Tab Trade is regulated by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No fund protection scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. Lots of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
But. Benjamin Boulter came from BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure costs real money. Fly-by-night platforms do not invest in proper execution infrastructure. None of this make it safe. It should inform how you think about it.
The trade-off: you give up tier-1 protection. What you get instead: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off is worth it comes down to your priorities.
The Bonus
TabTrade runs bonus funds of up to $2,000. Typical sign-up bonus. You fund your account, they add bonus funds. Standard terms apply: turnover conditions before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Review the fine print before funding.
